improving  my communications skills in the UK

When I came to the UK, one of the most important skills I developed was communication. At the beginning, it was not easy for me to communicate with people because English is not my first language. Sometimes I felt nervous when I needed to speak with others, especially in professional or formal situations.

However, living in the UK helped me improve this skill little by little. I had many opportunities to talk with different people from different backgrounds. For example, I spoke with colleagues, customers, and people in daily life such as in shops or public places. This helped me practice speaking and listening more often.

One thing I learned is that communication is not only about speaking good English. It is also about listening carefully and understanding what other people are saying. Sometimes people have different accents, and at first it was difficult for me to understand them. But after some time, my listening skills improved.

I also learned to be more confident when expressing my ideas. Before, I was worried about making mistakes in English. Now I understand that making mistakes is part of learning, and most people are understanding and supportive.

Overall, improving my communication skills in the UK helped me feel more confident and independent. It also helped me build better relationships with people around me and adapt more easily to a new environment.
