I will summarize an article from  the BBC about the result of  by- Election   Gorton and Denton 

The Green Party won the Gorton and Denton by-election and it was very surprising result. The Green candidate Hannah Spencer got around 41% of the vote and become the fifth MP for the party in Parliament. It is also the first time the Green Party ever win a Westminster by-election.

Before this, Labour hold the seat for almost 100 years and in the 2024 election they get more than 50% of votes. But in this by-election they only got 25% and finished in third place. Reform UK came second with about 29% of the vote. The Conservative Party and Liberal Democrats get only around 2% each, which was very bad result for them.

The election happened because the former Labour MP Andrew Gwynne resign from his position after he was suspended because of offensive WhatsApp messages. Because of this, people needed to vote again for new MP.

In her speech, Spencer say that many people working very hard but they still cannot afford basic things like food, heating and school uniforms for their children . She said people feel they are working only to make rich billionaires more richer.

Some politicians say this result is warning for Labour and the party must listen more carefully to voters problems. Also there was some concerns about family voting in polling stations, but the local council say they did not see any serious problems during the election.

  I have been in many places across the UK including restaurant, shops and festivals, and today I am going to introduce one restaurant that I really loved. The place is an Arabic restaurant called ALSHAMY in Plymouth. I went there with my friends and we had a very nice day together. We had amazing and very delicious food. At the beginning we order houmous, falafel and salad. After that we asked the waiter for chicken, lamb barbecue with rice and mix kebab. The waiter and the chef was very friendly and they help us to choose the food. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The food arrived very fast and everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. My favourite dish was the lamb barbecue because it was very soft and well cooked. The price was also reasonable and not very expensive. In my opinion, Alshamy is a very good restaurant and I recommend this place for people who like Arabic food. I hope I can go there again in the future.
